Eagleton Engineering FTP Site
Internet Explorer and Netscape
- Request a unique username and password
from Eagleton. This can be done by contacting Cesar Flores:
cflores@eagletoninc.com or (713) 871-8787 ext. 115.
- Please DO NOT use someone else’s username
and password as this will log you in to an incorrect directory system, and files
intended for you will not be available or files left by you may not be retrievable
by the intended party.
- Eagleton’s
ftp site works well with any standard ftp client. As there are many FTP Clients
available we cannot give instructions for them all. Most of them merely ask for
the site address, which is ftp://ftp.eagletoninc.com, your username, and your password, which you will receive
from Eagleton as described above. If you do not have an FTP client, then a browser
can be used to access the Eagleton FTP site. Instructions for using two
common browsers are given below.
Internet Explorer
1. In the URL (Address) field type in: "ftp://",
then your username, and then "@ftp.eagletoninc.com".
Example: ftp://username@ftp.eagletoninc.com/

2. You will be prompted for your password; type in
your password and click the "Login" button. If you have already used the
eagletoninc.com ftp site before, double check that your username is correct in the
"Login As" dialog box prompting you for your username and password.

3. After you are connected you should see files and/or
folders. If you wish to change the view, go to the "View" menu bar and
select the type of view (the list or details options are the most useful).

4. To retrieve or download a file, select the file
and right click on it. Select "Copy To Folder" and select the folder location
for the file. Files can be uploaded by Selecting the file to be moved, copying it,
and pasting it to the Eagleton FTP site.
5. When you are finished retrieving or leaving the
file(s) you need, close Internet Explorer.
Netscape
1. In the URL (Address) field (it is case sensitive!) type
in: "ftp://", then your username, a colon ":", your password,
and then "@www.eagletoninc.com". For example,
ftp://username:password@ftp.eagletoninc.com/
2. To retrieve (download) a file, right click on its link.
Select "Save link as…", and select the location for the file. Be sure
to change file type as "All files *.*".
3. When you are finished dropping off or retrieving the
file(s) you need close Netscape.
